Strawberry whirl biscuits Medium
Makes around 15 biscuits
Ingredients:
- 250g soft unsalted butter
- 50g icing sugar
- 225g plain flour
- 1 tablespoon of strawberry powder
- 20g cornflour
Method
Preheat the oven to 190C
The butter needs to be very soft – in the summer, room temperature is enough, but during the cold months, you might have to soften it in the microwave
Place the butter and sugar in a bowl and beat until light and fluffy (around 5 minuets) using an electric whisker
Sieve in the dried ingredients and fold
Spoon into a piping bag fitted with a medium star nozzle
Free-style the piping. Uniformity only matters if you intend to sandwich the biscuits
Bake for 12-15 minutes until pale and just starting to colour at the edge
Leave to cool on a wire rack
