Sourdough Lavash Bread Easy
This is an amazingly versatile flat bread and is super easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 140g bread flour
- 140g plain flour
- 250g milk kefir
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 15g active sourdough starter
Method
Whisk together the kefir and sourdough starter
Add the rest of the ingredients in
Knead for roughly 5 minutes (either by hand or in a machine) or until the dough is incorporated and leave to rise for 3 hours
To cook it, divide into 4 and roll to about 1-2 mm thickness
Use flour to avoid the dough from sticking
Heat a pan to high heat and fry on both sides for 1-2 minutes until golden and starting to puff up
Keep covered with a clean cloth to keep the flatbreads soft. For a crispy lavash, cook longer and leave uncovered
