Miso butter
The addition of miso in the butter gives it an amazing umami flavour. Use it on toast, to finish sauces, risottos or on top of a steak.
Ingredients
- 250g unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon white miso
- 1 tablespoon brown miso
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon
- 2 tablespoons of chopped chives
Method
Leave the butter out overnight
Mash with a fork and throughly combine with the white miso and the mustard
Add the chives and stir through
Add the dark miso and gently combine (to get a ripple effect)
